Driver and Team Profile

Owner RL Young

 RL is about as good of a man as anyone can meet.. He will do anything he can for a person or friend.. Hes extremly smart when it comes to racing..As a retired driver from the racing scene also holds serval championships, poles ,and wins on the dirt tracks in Virginia and North Carolina.. He is well know by many of the fans ,drivers,and crews and probally one of the most likeable men at the tracks..

Driver Jeff Young

1998, 1999, 2001 Oaklevel Raceway  Track Champion.Finished 2nd in points in 2002..Great driver,husband and father.He works hard all week at his job and his hobby and passion for racing.Always takes time to sign autographs for the kids at the track.He also has his own unique style of driving and tries to always race clean but hard.He has well over 80 wins in his career. He has some of the best racing fans of any driver in any circut.. His hobbies include Golf and driving the 04 car.

Crew Chief Martin "Fred" Young

He recently passed away from injuries in a accident. He will always be the crewchief, friend ,brother ,family man ,husband ,and father to all of us on the Young race team and the Young family.. He was also Jeffs spotter and did a excllent job over the years to make sure Jeff knew where the trouble was on the track and if he was clear to change his driving line.He also made sure the car was always race ready before it left the shop. His love and passion for dirt track racing was unreal. He rarely missed a race or a day working on the car but his love and passion for his wife and family were alwyas greater and his main proity.Fred we will always miss you and love you ..You will always be in all of our hearts.Fred you were right asphault is only good for one thing getting you to the dirt to watch the race!! 

Crew Member Mac Gordon

Mac is a great guy to be around.Extremly smart man. He helps to build the car get it race ready every week. He is also the back up spotter for Jeff. At the track he does what ever needs to be done on the car to make sure its safe and fast on the track and helps pitting it during the race .he is the main spotter for Jeff from top of the truck letting him know whats happening on the track and with the tracks decisions. His hobbies include Flyfish and golf.

Crew Member Frank Norris

Hes a real fun guy to be around. He always has a joke or two to tell. He spends his weeks on the road driving a truck but when hes home hes always helping out on the car at the shop and also at the track.. Racing is his thearpy from the stress of driving 2000 to 3000 miles a week  in a truck.If you ever meet this man you will see he is about the nicest guy as the come. At the track his job is keep us laughing and help to pit the car during the race if anything happens to it. He also helps to make changes to the car and also is a spotter on the larger tracks.His hobbies include Hunting and anything that deals with racing.

Crew Member Richard Norris

He is a pretty fun guy to be around also.He is undergoning reconstrutive surgery from injuries he obtained in a accident. You might think hes crazy walking around when its 100 degrees outside and wearing a  black ski mask looking like hes goning to rob the track ,but that dont stop him from keeping the racing in his blood. He helps on the car during the week and helps the others to make sure its race ready and at the track he does what ever needs to be done to the car or asked of him He also helps pit the car during the race He also relays messages from the radio traffic from the track to the spottters!! He is also the web site designer. HIs hobbies include Flyfishing, hunting and also custom building 1/24th scale dirt diecast. There is a link where you can see some of his work in the link page

Crew Member John Wimbush

John has joined the United States Air Force Good luck in that very round profession from the entire Young and Norris family.. Keep in touch my friend
